Candle Making

What's the best way to colour paraffin wax?

Both coloured granules and dye blocks can be used.  Coloured granules are quick and easy as they are ready to use as is.  Dye blocks need to be cut or crushed before adding.

100grams of dye will colour 2kg of parrafin wax.

How do you prime candle wick?

Soak the wick in a pan of melted wax for a few minutes then lay it flat to dry on a sheet of greaseproof paper.

What size wick would I use for what size candle?

Light wick for candles 25mm in diameter or less.  Medium wick for candles between 25mm and 75mm.  Heavy wick for candles that are over 75mm in diameter.
