Dry Felting is an easy needle punch form of embellishing a piece of woollen felt. The felt needle has rough, notched edges that force the fibre down, causing it to entangle with other fibres and wool for felting. Modern day felt artists have recently adopted the technique of dry needle felting as a tool for creating dry felt and for use in conjunction with wet felting techniques. By using the needle individually, or in small clusters, felt artists create designs and three-dimensional shapes. We, at Craft4less, offer a wide range of wool for felting, dry felting needles, and various other accessories that help you make various patterns and designs. Dry felting can be used to make a picture, a toy, a hat, or a bag. No glue or thread is required for dry felting. Using dry felting wool and needles, you could make needle felted cut out cards. With the help of a felting needle and wool felting technique, you could see your designs come to life. By repeatedly pushing the needle into the felting wool fibres, they would lock into the woolen felt. You can build up layers to create free form sculptures like animals. We offer accessories like Merino wool variegated colour, felting needle, foam block, wool felt square, fashion fibres charcoal, craft glue, and scissors that help you make Australian Series Cut Out card pack that include Koala, Kangaroo, Blue Tongue Lizard, and Cockatoo. We deal in a wide range of accessories that help you make needle felted bookmarks. Our accessories include Merino Wool, wool felt square, fashion fibres in different colours, felting needle, foam block, and scissors. Our products would help you enhance your creative talent and decorate your house with exquisite patterns and designs you have created yourself. And these designs are sure to win you loads of compliments.
Needle Felting

Needle (Dry) Felting is an easy needle punch form of embellishing a piece of woollen felt. The felt needle has rough, notched edges that force the fibre down, causing it to entangle with other fibres and wool to create the felting.

Using this technique you are able to create designs on felt clothing and accessories, collage and pictures and also three-dimensional shapes.

Craft 4 Less offer a wide range of Australian Merino wool and Nepalese Combed wool for felting.  Craft 4 Less also have all the accessories you need to complete your project including dry felting needles, dry felting tools to hold your needles safely as well as sponges and brushes that enable you to punch through the felt.  No glue or thread is required for Needle (Dry) Felting.

Using these basic tools, felt and wool you are able to make very simple abstract designs for a card, bookmark or clothing or take it to the next level and make three-dimensional ornaments or collage sculptures.  The technique is the same for all proejcts - simply repeatedly pushing the needle up and down into the felt and wool fibres until they lock together.

Australian Merino wool is available in a huge range of colours as well as a range of verigrated colours.   Nepalese Combed Felt also has an amazing range of colours available individually or in bags of mixed colours based on the seasons - autumn, summer, winter and spring.

Needle Felting is safe for older children with supervision (we recommend using the needle felting tool with the safety lock and for children 8 and up) and they will love the simple projects to get them started.

More projects using the Needle (Dry) Felting technique will be added regularly.

Happy Crafting
